What is a School Based Health Center?
Our School Based Health Center provides traditional medical and behavioral health services in a non-traditional setting located inside the school district. The goal of the SBHC is to keep students healthy, in school, and able to reach their full potential.
How do I get an appointment?
After you have completed the SBHC Consent Form, you can request and appointment online at mainlinehealth.net/request-an-appointment or call (501) 234-2020 to speak with a Patient Support Specialist.
What are the clinic hours and where is it located?

Who will drive my child to the appointment?
There are several transportation options. You, the parent may bring the child to the school clinic, or you may utilize the PCSSD clinic transportation option. Contact the clinic directly at (501) 234-2020 to utilize the PCSSD clinic transportation services.
What provider will they see at the clinic?
Jasmine Jackson, APRN is the primary care provider at the MHSI PCSSD clinic. Debbie Clark, LPC is the behavioral health provider at the MHSI PCSSD clinic.
Do I have to be there for the appointment?
Once a consent form is on file, you may accompany your child to their primary care visit at the MHSI PCSSD Clinic or if you are unable, MHSI PCSSD clinic will call you before and after seeing your child. Parents are required to attend the child’s first behavioral health appointment but not required after the first visit.
How long will they be at the clinic?
Every visit is different, just as every child’s needs are different. An example of this would be a common cold visit vs. a well-child checkup, a well-child checkup requires more time spent with the child.
Will they charge me for the appointment?
Co-pays will be billed to the parents following the visit. If a student does not have insurance MHSI PCSSD clinic provides a sliding fee discount for those who qualify. A sliding fee application will be sent home with the student. The clinic also has outreach and enrollment specialists that can assist with insurance enrollment upon request.
How will they get back to their school?
If the student utilizes the PCSSD Clinic transportation services, they will be picked up and returned to their school by a PCSSD employee.
Will their school be notified of the absence from class?
The parent will not be required to check the student out of school for their appointments at the MHSI PCSSD Clinic. The clinic will provide an excuse for the school with arrival and departure times.
Will the provider or staff call me once the appointment is over?
The MHSI PCSSD provider or nurse will contact you before and after the appointment.

The MHSI PCSSD Clinic offers primary care and behavioral health services. Primary services include immunizations, physicals for school, sports and general wellness, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, routine lab work, and specialist referrals. The MHSI PCSSD also offers telehealth visit options.
