Eudora, AR (April 12th, 2024) - Yesterday, alongside National Rural Health Resource Center staff, Mainline Health hosted their first CPAPW (Community Priority Action Planning Workshop) for Chicot County.

This meeting was held in Eudora at the Delta Men’s Association Building. Community joint partners gathered to discuss how they can all work together over the next 6-12 months to improve the community’s health needs. They reviewed health outcomes, presented assessment results to understand concerns and priorities, and established a community care coordination plan to develop action steps for key priorities.

In November of 2023, Mainline Health hosted a Community Connect Event, which set the foundation for this project and introduced community partners within Chicot County. Now, months later, they are ready to jump into action. The two priority needs for Chicot County were strategically decided by open communication and group discussions. The two most pressing concerns discussed were Mental Health and access to childcare. Two sub-committees were formed, and each group will lead these efforts to tackle these needs.

This project was made possible by the DRCHSD (Delta Region Health Systems Development) Program and the National Rural Health Resource Center. Mainline Health is a cohort of this program, and it is set to last 3 years. The CPAPW held yesterday is just the first step in the right direction to improve health outcomes for Chicot County, where Mainline Health has 2 primary clinics, a Women’s Health Satellite Clinic, and 3 School-Based Health Centers.
